I'd be doing this mostly from the POV of a podfic listener, so most weekly topics won't fit Podfic listener POVs are amazing, awesome and most welcome. :D I will add though, that whatever you want to offer for pod_aware, it doesn't have to match the daily theme. If you wanted to do a rec list on the 101 day, or post a pic spam for feedback day, that's totally ok too! It doesn't all have to be meta. :)
I still can't narrow where to start with how useful and fun podfics are to me. Is it normal that it sometimes feels like I'm repeating myself over and over? If it's wrong, them I'm a broken record. :) My way of working my feelings into something I can post about starts with me rambling on an on about everything related to the subject. I just bring up ALL THE FEELINGS! and slowly whittle them down until I get something close to the answers. It's not easy to do, luckily I have fannish roommates who are patient and hold my hand through this process.
Seriously just put all your thoughts out there, all the anecdotes and feelings, then just start narrowing it down. Or, at least, that's what works for me.
Hopefully that was helpful?
Is this a 'this is why you should give it a chance as a medium' or are we finally over that phase? Yes? No? Sorta? I'm someone who's constantly out there promoting podfic, either through my comms, my own podfic, or just generally being nosy. :P And because of that I see people at all levels of the spectrum of podfic knowledge/awareness.
The reason why I set up pod_aware so that anyone could join in and that they could offer to participate in whatever medium they are comfortable with, is because I was hoping that it would help spread the idea of podfic to people that have never heard of it before. As a podficcer, there have been many times where I've had to introduce someone to the concept of podfic so I can do my stuff, like when I ask an author for permission or if there's a comm I'd like to join but I'm not sure if podfic is allowed. Especially in the latter case, that can be hard, it would be nice if there was just a little more awareness out there, for people that maybe aren't interested personally but can still affect podficcers and their art. Which I guess kinda falls under "why you should give it a chance as a medium" but is really more "please be aware of my preferred medium"
And because I'm nosy, run a lot of comms and have the secret plan to friend all the podficcers (which is severely hampered by how shy I am about friending people) I also talk to a lot of podficcers when they run into issues regarding podfic and try to help them through those issues. I've been doing that a lot one on one and through meta but I wanted something that would give podficcers a chance to really open up about some of the issues we deal with all the time. To provide a specific forum/reference for podficcers to learn from each other.

Those are my hopes anyway. :)
