Wrap Up

pod_aware is now officially over. I can't believe the level of participation we got and the generally just how amazing everyone was!

I've seen quite a few comments saying "I planned to do X but ran out of time" (quite a few times from me directly, like for the 2 daily podcasts that are still missing :S). If people have projects that they still want to submit you can post it this week (related to any day you'd like) and we'll add them to the round up posts.

Next week I'll post a round up of all the days.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who was involved with

pod_aware. I'm one of the folks who had only the vaguest idea of what podfic is before I found this comm. All week I have been frantically downloading and listening to so much. Podfic and podcasts both.

I don't know that I'm up for recording my own, but I have certainly become a consumer of podfic over this week! In terms of raising awareness for podficcing, I feel much more informed and I'm really jazzed about burning through some archives and putting my computer through a workout. :)

I'm not always consistent about giving feedback (for various reasons), but that doesn't mean I'm not happy that podfic is out there. That someone has taken the time and put in the effort to record a fic for me to listen to wherever I want to.

Again, thank you to everyone involved.

This last week was SO MUCH BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE. I had so many fun and interesting conversations with new and familiar people about something that I'm passionate about. I especially loved all the podcasts that popped up, I can't wait until next year (hopefully this will be a regular thing?)!

It turned out better than I thought too! ♥

I can't wait till I have time to go back and actually check out all that was posted.

Isn't it awesome when we get to talk about a topic we all love so much? To be honest, I wasn't sure if this would be more than a one time thing but people responded to positively that I definitely think I'll do it again next year (although I think I might post sign ups for others to do the daily podcasts because, god, that was so much work and stress).
